Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Zestbird AI ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Zestbird AI web application at zestbird.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google OAuth via Supabase Auth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this information to create and manage your account.
Usage data
We collect information about how you use the Service, including product search queries, search results, generated email drafts, and usage counts (searches and drafts per day). We may also collect UTM parameters from advertising campaigns (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) to understand how users discover Zestbird.
Technical data
We automatically collect standard log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. We may use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and PostHog when configured, to measure ad performance, analyze product usage, and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Process your product searches against US customs import data
- Generate AI-powered buyer fit scores and outreach email drafts
- Enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
- Communicate with you about your account or the Service
- Analyze usage to improve features and performance
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party providers:
- Supabase — authentication, database hosting, and data storage (PostgreSQL)
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing for HS code mapping, buyer scoring, and email draft generation. Your product descriptions and importer context are sent to Anthropic's API for processing.
- Google — OAuth authentication
- Vercel — application hosting
- Meta (Facebook) — advertising analytics via Meta Pixel (when enabled)
- PostHog — product analytics and funnel events (when enabled)
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. US customs data
Zestbird displays information derived from US bill-of-lading import records, which are public. This data includes importer company names, shipment details, product descriptions, and ports of entry. We do not claim ownership of public customs records.
5. Email sending
Zestbird generates email drafts for your review. We do not send emails on your behalf, access your email account, or store sent messages. You are solely responsible for outreach you send to importers.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data, search history, and leads for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
7. Data security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on database tables, and server-side API authentication. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us at privacy@zestbird.com to exercise these rights.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated date.
